Preserving the stories, history, and military landmarks of Orange County.
Orange County contains former military bases, museums, memorials, veterans’ organizations, and medical facilities that continue to preserve and support the local military community. This project documents these locations and explains why they are historically and socially important.
About Me:
As a high school student currently living in Irvine, Orange County, I made this project to learn more about and honor the history of those who served our country. While researching military sites and locations, I learned that many places, such as the MCAS Tustin Hangars and the Great Park, are passed by and used every day without people knowing their historical significance. I hope this project helps preserve these stories and encourages others to learn more about the veterans and military history that helped shape Orange County.
